They offer all the features of Kit Carson’s very popular aluminum-handled M16 series. These M16 SRT models are identical in construction to the popular CRKT aluminum M16 , offering the same sure-grip contoured handles of 6061 T6 aluminum, hard anodized in Law Enforcement Blue. The stainless steel locking liners with friction grooves are also black Teflon® plated, and give positive locking with limited access, for superior safety.

Designed for fire fighters and gloved hands, with textured Zytel® scales, the Carson Flipper, and the AutoLAWKS™ safety.

The new M16 ® Fire Department Zytel® models are designed to meet the special requirements of those in fire fighting. For strength, we use our rigid InterFrame build with 42 0J2 stainless steel liners. Scales are injection-molded Fire Engine Red Zytel, which is a tough, strong composite of fiberglass and nylon designed to handle the worst abuse. The scales are textured for good grip in wet conditions.

This is an aluminum frame M16 with all the features of our gray-handled M16s, but in desert camo. The contoured handles of textured, 6061 T6 aluminum are hard anodized Desert Tan. The 3.875” (9.8 cm) AUS 8 stainless steel blade, chosen for edge retention and durability, receives a highly corrosion-resistant Desert Tan non-reflective titanium nitride coating.
