SOG has added a larger “working” auto to their lineup with the Spec-Elite II model SE-61

NEW PRODUCT: Microtech LUDT’s are back!
Microtech has long been one of the innovators in the automatic knife industry, but the LUDT series has long been a favorite of those who need an automatic knife that works.
The L.U.D.T. is the Large version of the Underwater Demolition Team knife. It led its way into the knife market in the mid 1990’s and quickly became one of the fastest selling knives in the Microtech history. Over the years the L.U.D.T. has been shaped and changed to fit in our ever-changing market. The L.U.D.T. has a S30V blade with a reinforced tip for maximum penetration effectiveness without compromising the tip. Its handle is a 6061T6 aircraft grade aluminum with ball grooves running down the center for better gripping. New Product: Kershaw 2001 Rogue Automatic
Kershaw has stepped up to the plate and delivered a new series of automatic knives that are going to be very popular – the model 2001 Rogue!
A bold new direction for Kershaw, the Rogue Automatic has a 4″ blade made of Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel with a wide, deep bevel that excels in cutting performance. A thumb ramp offers a natural resting place when using a saber grip, while the overall design allows for the user to “choke up” easily for detail work. Opening is easy – simply disengage the safety lever, then depress the firing button.
The CNC machined aluminum handles have non-slip Trac-Tec inserts for a secure grip in any conditions. A reversible pocket clip allows for tip up carry on either side of the body; the knife may also be carried tip down in right-hand configuration. The handle also includes a lanyard hole large enough for parachute style cord.
The Rogue series is available in 4 models:

Our popular Applegate-Fairbairn folder gets quicker with new spring-loaded auto release that rapidly deploys the tactical blade with the push of a button. The addition of this knife is a perfect way to complete a collection, while also having a perfectly balanced auto-opening knife.
First impressions: This is a solid knife! Good heft in the hand, and clearly designed as a worker or heavy use blade. The knife opens with plenty of force, and the centrally mounted safety is easy to activate / deactivate. The price is definitely in line with other hard use working knives like the Benchmade 9051SBK and Spyderco Citadel.

Now taking preorders on new Benchmade 14800 HK Tumult DA OTF!
Benchmade announced a new double action out-the-front Automatic knife at the 2009 BLADE show – the HK 14800 Tumult.
Early word on BladeForums.com is that this is going to be a “game changer” for the automatic scene – though the MSRP of this is $280, the expected “street price” is going to be well below that… and since Microtech is the only company with similar production quality, this is going to rock some boats.
