We’ve incorporated our exclusive patented* LAWKS™ automatic knife safety into all models, which converts the M16 Zytel series into virtual fixed blades when their blades are open and locked.

Instead of aluminum handles, we use tough, textured Zytel® scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame. We overbuild it for rigidity, using Zytel back spacers. And we assemble the handle with superior offset Torx® fasteners.

The handle is slightly heftier and wider than our aluminum build M16, but it is exceptionally rigid. To some of us, it actually fills the hand better.
