Designed by Warren Osborne, the 581 Barrage is an upgraded version of the Benchmade 580, featuring a M390 super steel blade, and G10 / aluminum handles.
Silver blade, plain edge.
A staff favorite, the 581 Barrage is what we recommend to someone who is looking for an "upgunned" EDC without the "tactical" look.
The Warren Osborne designed Benchmade 580 Barrage has been a runaway best seller, and the 581 is a further refinement. The 154CM blade of the standard model has been replaced by M390 super steel, known for it's toughness, edge retention & corrosion resistance. The handle has been improved with contoured & sculpted G10 scales, nestled behind machined aluminum bolsters.
If you are looking for a knife that will work just as well in business casual environments or in your jeans for tough EDC, the Benchmade 581 Barrage is the right call.
